Great location but this hotel could really use some updating. Carpets, painting, lighting all need some help. Loved the bar on top! Was a terrific place in the evenings. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. Also loved the pool area! What’s up with these GIGANTIC beds and where do you find sheets to fit them?! By the way, can be a very noisy location, esp when there is a festival going on on the beach across the street with music going on until 3 am.

Hotel Platjador was clean and quirky cool. We loved the pool, despite a few jets being out of order, the waterfall, jacuzzi corner, and overhead jet were great. The breakfast buffet was incredible, you could easily assemble a full English or Irish breakfast and there were so many breads and pastries that the kids were in danger of overloading. We had a great time.

Central and quiet
To clarify, right at the start: this is a three-star hotel, not a modern 5-star resort. If you stay at this hotel, you have three certainties: a super central location, a very decent breakfast and, most importantly, incredible quiet. An older building with decent walls prevents disturbance from both the hallway, the bathroom, the neighbors. Unimaginable in new hotels. The roof terrace and bar is also very nice. Mattresses are OK, air conditioning worked well in July and did not disturb. I recommend the hotel

I enjoyed staying at The Platjador, and would likely stay again. Unfortunately we had a lot of problems with our specific room that other friends rooms did not have. The issues we reported were looked at immediately, we did not report them all. Shower stuck on hot, toilet seat broken, 1 light not working, 2 flickering, toilet cistern leaking. The aircon was good, and the bed comfortable with relatively good pillows. They have a great breakfast and pool area.

Great staff, nice room, great view of the ocean, and the breakfast was excellent. The only complaint I have is for noise... Doors slamming shut when other guests leave their rooms were quite loud and the housekeeping staff in the mornings were as well... And it's not like they were speaking loudly or doing anything inappropriate... You can just hear things out on the hallway. It made it impossible to sleep in... Which isn't terrible.
