overall, a nice place

A handy stop
The room was basic but had a microwave and fridge. Great for my needs, a comfortable place to sleep for a night close to the high street

Convenient location, but could do with improvement
Convenient location, if you're happy with a fully self-service check-in and stay. Room is small, bathroom very small, but both functional enough. Good amenities in the room. Room was overheated, there was a ceiling fan built into the light, but only worked if the light was on, so no way of having the fan on at night while you sleep. Shower was weak, bedside light dim and buzzes.

Meh
Fine place to flop in East Oxford. Zero frills and no service of any kind.

Great location at a reasonable price
Great location for anyone wanting to stay close to the city centre. Good facilities in the room including a fridge freezer and microwave. Mattresses could do with be replaced but still enjoyed our stay.

Unclear instructions for car park meant my car was locked in a private car park overnight. Whilst the carpark owner was very understanding, they pointed out many people get this wrong. Rasa Sayang need to clarify their car park entrance is on the junction with Regent Street. Guest house was very basic and a bit tired; but clean and OK if you want a cheap(ish) bed-sit style accommodation.

Great budget option close to Bath
The guesthouse met our needs perfectly. It is simple but walking distance to Bath. We paid for the extra parking and worth it! Fan in the room helped tremendously on a hot day. The three of us had enough space, but it wasn't spacious. For the price, it was perfect!

Small but very clean.
Although the room was small, I was only staying for one night and I was on my own so it didn’t really matter. It was very clean and welcoming and in a great location. I would definitely stay there again. The pillow was a little bit on the lumpy side but that’s my only complaint.

We recently stayed at Rasa Sayang and found it to be a good value for the money in a convenient location. The beds were comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. While the chairs around the table were quite cheap and not very comfortable, the bathroom was adequate and met our needs. Overall, despite a few minor drawbacks, our stay at Rasa Sayang was pleasant. Considering the good location and reasonable price, we would stay here again.

Room was basic but clean and did what was needed. Only comment was on hottest night of the year no aircon or fan so didn’t sleep well but 2 mile walk to where I needed to be so good location for city centre

the room was clean and quiet. the keys were easy to get and the room had everything you needed for a 1 night stay in oxford. This obviosuly isn't 5 star luxury but it was comfortable, clean and conveniently placed for all our needs.

Clean and spacious room
The room was nice, spacious, and clean. The check-in was a breeze. The shower was a little bit smaller. The location is a little bit out of the way. Overall, we have a good time staying there. It was a good value. I highly recommend it.

The key fob only worked some of the time. So getting into the property was difficult and stressful.

The stairs were too shallow and too steep. It was quite hard to bring luggage upstairs. Everything was great otherwise

2/10 Poor

Room was hot stuffy grosse and underwhelming. I disnt like the bed nor the bathroom facilities. It seemed the room hadn't been opened in months. Musty and moldy smell throughout the room. Couldnt stay for more than 10 min. In the room. Disappointed

Very very noisy, no soundproofing at all
Very noisy, can hear all talking and movement from the rooms above and around. wafer thin walls, very creeky floorboards in room above, thought they were going to come through the ceiling, more like a hostel than a hotel, couldn't sleep here at all!!

I had to call the owners the day before we were due to arrive as we hadn’t received any registration/check in details which were then emailed. Entry is like an Escape Room task! The room was small and the only place to put our bag was on the desk. The TV was on the wall behind the bed so couldn’t watch lying in bed. Hotel was about a 20 minute walk to town. I’m sure there are cheaper, better options around.

This hotel met my needs. I was in Oxford doing research for two days (three night stay). The room was clean, the hotel quiet, and the property in easy walking distance of town. There was one major problem: the mattress was so worn out that I could feel the springs through the cover, and I woke up with a back ache. Renters should also be aware that the property is a renovated set of Victorian row house that are very vertical. Be prepared to lug your suitcase up two or three flights on a very narrow staircase. Finally, although I specified "pay at the property," the owners charged my card immediately. I suspect that is because there is no personal check-in. Renters are sent a code to access a box that contains a fob and room key. If that is the policy, it should be stated on the Expedia site.

Perfectly acceptable no-contact lodgings for the price, with the benefit of walkability to central Oxford (if you're a good walker). The management was accessible by phone. The procedure for accessing the building and the room (once you are present on the site of the hotel) was clear. Two small suggestions: (1) stop relying on the app to verify identity, as not everyone has a phone that it works on. (2) if you tell guests the kitchen has coffee making facilities etc., make sure the kitchen really has a French press or filter cone or automatic drip coffeemaker (or SOMETHING). Otherwise, all good, recommended. Just remember to call the management in advance about identity, and bring your Aeropress if you want to make coffee.

Horrible experience
The room we were given was not even remotely like the photos on the Hotels website. We stayed on the ground floor, the bed was terrible, the spring mattress was completely broken, we couldn't rest. In the bathroom the water from the shower came down in drops there was no power socket to attach any type of accessory. The window of the house was equipped with a non-comprehensive curtain so from 6 in the morning a lot of light came in. There was no place to put your bags comfortably. Practitioner of a housing disaster and paid very dearly. Not recommended even for one night. Change the system my dears.

Decent accommodation
Overall good stay, pillows a little hard and room was very warm, despite windows open, fan on and radiator off. Key fob system a little temperamental, espcially front door.
