Overall the hotel was clean and had a good complimentary breakfast.
The room has a small closet but is not large enough to create adequate walking space with large suitcases. We stayed in July in a standard, non balcony room, and noticed right away the room gets quite warm quickly. You can crack open the window slightly from the top, but does not open any further. Unfortunately, it does not create a lot of space for airflow to come in compared to other hotels we stayed at throughout Switzerland. The hotel does provide a small fan that can rest on the table, but is not felt throughout the room even at the highest setting.
The bed, room, and bathroom are clean, but the bed was so firm it left us feeling sore in our back after each night, and we’re in our early 30’s. We recommend asking for additional pillows as you’re only provided 1 pillow per twin bed and they become flat quickly once you lay down.
The location is ideal right next to the train station and a quick walk to the city center.
We’d be open to staying again, but only in a balcony room where air can flow through adequately. We would not recommend a standard room to others if your budget/prices are below the balcony prices.
