The good: Fantastic location if live music is what you want. Frenchmen Street is the place, and this is right in the middle of the action. The noise from the street wasn't too bad, and the view from the balcony is fun. Also, the bed was really comfortable!
The not-good: Despite some obvious efforts at upgrading, this place is still shabby. The floor was so dirty I had to wash my feet after taking a shower before getting my shoes on. My advice: bring slippers.
The bathroom sink & cabinet were pulling away from the wall, and the shower was just painted, not tiled, so mold was starting to grow in there.
We were very disappointed that the spa was permanently closed "for the season" ... not sure what season or reason. It looked perfectly functional, just not heated. Could have used that soak after all the walking to & from French Quarter. It's a half-mile or more to just about anything other than Frenchmen Street music clubs.
Basically, even with the extra living room space & kitchen, this was overpriced for what it is.
The staff is friendly and helpful and the office is staffed 24/7.
