When we arrived, the hotel had no power. The front desk let us know the elevators werent working, and our room was on the 3rd floor. I have Parkinson's Disease, so a third floor with no elevator couldnt work. There wasn't a 1st floor room available. The front desk person said she understood and would refund the room once the system was back up. We stuck around for 30 minutes to see if the power would come back on, but it didn’t. There was also a drunk, angry guest that couldn't get into his room, and we didn't want to leave her alone. The hotel then refused our refund request through Hotels.com. That decision is pretty insulting after being told we would get a refund while at the property.
