Though the common areas of the 'boutique hotel' were attractive, like the online photos portrayed them, the rooms were horrible. THe first room (lowest price, I believe), was small, extremely dark, with no view, and was hot from the minute we walked in, even with the air conditioner on. The front desk changed us to a better room at a significantly higher price. THe room was more spacious and had somewhat of a view (construction of buildings in the back courtyard area), but would not cool off. They gave us a fan to use. THe was NO hot water flowing out of the shower at around 5pm, and just a trickle when we tried to shower in the morning.
Though we had booked for 2 nights, we booked another hotel for the second night. When we told the front desk, they said that since we had paid through Expedia, they couldn't return the fee for the second night, but they made the offer that if we called Expedia and had Expedia call them, they would agree to a refund of the second night. Upon returning from our vacation we did call Expedia and they reached out to the hotel but were told that they could not give me the refund.
