WARNING: there are two properties under this listing. One is (apparently) a nice hotel, the other is a motel 2.5 miles away. We needed a place near this location as we passed through, and a boutique hotel added a bit of character. It was 92 the day we arrived so we were looking forward to the pool. We arrived at 5 PM. There’s no pool at the motel, you need to travel to the hotel. But first you need to reserve a slot at the pool, and those are only available 3 times a day, 10AM, 1 PM, 4 PM. If you arrive at 5 PM, no pool for you. They may set you up with 10 AM the next day, but check out is 11 AM and the pool is 2.5 miles away. So I asked if I could get the $20 motel “facilities fee” back if we couldn’t use the pool, and was advised that the $20 covers the free WiFi, free parking (Motel!), free coffee, etc.
As for the motel room, “Contemporary 5”, they must’ve run out of energy by the time they got here. It’s just a normal motel room with 2 double beds (which we were required to get because we have a child) with the old wallpaper covered in glitter wallpaper and with some plastic decorations added. You will find the original motel plastic tub. Similar hotels/motels are available in the area without glitter but with a pool you can swim in on a hot day for half the cost. The “spa,” by the way, is an indoor hot tub in a mostly empty room which you must reserve in one of 5 time slots. We never saw it being used (passageway window) nor the lawn games, nor the many plastic chairs.
