This is a really nice boutique hotel. At the price point this was a great option to stay in Palermo area. It is close to everything- shopping, night life (gay or straight), coffee shops, parks, etc. The location is trendy and gay, somewhat like Chelsea in NYC.
This hotel is better for couples than singles. You have to give your key to front desk every time you come and go. Therefore if you meet a friend and want to come back with them, the hotel staff knows. There is also somewhat lack of privacy in the way the hotel is designed, you can hear people walk through hallways and front yard. You can hear the front desk and kitchen area.. and of course they can hear what you are doing in your room. So if you need a lot of privacy, this would not be for you. (this did not bother me too much)
Hotel staff is very friendly and accommodating.
Do not expect much from the Breakfast- I recommend skip hotel breakfast and try something block or two away.
