Old West End: Kings Throne house
We love the Old West End in Toledo—its historical charm, beautiful old homes, etc. So this place was perfect.

The Kings Throne was lovely and cozy, and the host had thought of everything. Sun Room is great for solo traveler.

8/10 Very good

The property was tucked in a very private setting. The owner met us when we arrived. It was quiet there. I live in a quiet location. So being quiet there was a plus for me. If ever I'm in the area again. I will be sure to book another stay.

It's nice to take a break from hotel chains that are the same no matter where you are, and Kings Throne meets the bill. Minutes from the excellent Toledo Museum, close to local dining options, super comfortable bed. Takes you back in time just a little bit and the innkeeper is very friendly and accommodating. Keyless check-in and -out worked like a charm.

Landon is a superb and welcoming host, sharing his lovely, historic old house in Toledo's Old West End. We were only in town one night, but we’d love to stay again.

What a great stay. Charming house. Comfortable and quiet. Nice, well stocked kitchen with breakfast items and everything one needs to prepare a meal. Close to the amazing Toledo Art Museum and an easy walk downtown. I would definitely stay here again.

Very comfortable guest house in Toledo.
We stopped here for one night whilst touring around Ohio. This is a Victorian house with many features from that period. The host, Landon, greeted us and explained everything to us. The property sits in a quiet neighbourhood, but still convenient for downtown Toledo. The room we had was well furnished and equipped. One also has the use of the downstairs reception rooms, kitchen and even the laundry room. Would recommend if you are looking for a slightly “quirky” guest house in Toledo.

Warm, Welcoming, and Memorable
Ever seen a cool, old, house from the street and want to take a look inside? The King's Throne Inn can satisfy that curiosity for a night. Me and my wife spent our anniversary here and this place was really charming. Every room was filled with antiques, paintings, old lamps, and oddities that gave it such a fun feel. The curator has even hidden many little chess pieces throughout ( We made a little game out of spotting them ). We had spent our night in the Kings room and it was very roomy, warm and immaculately clean. Though id recommend bringing along a laptop or tablet if you want to watch tv in your room. We just used the included BT radio ourselves which was plenty enough for ambience. The suite reminded me of happy memories of spending the night at my grandmas as a kid, lost in the old furniture and the glow of the vintage lamps. Definitely a snapshot of a bygone era I can remember fondly. Also the coolest living room I have ever stayed in. It would be perfect for D&D or board games, and comes with a large flat screen. Just so cozy and cool! Pros: Immaculately clean, Roomy, Cute & Thought Provoking, No signs of bugs, pests or black mold. Plenty of board games and books, blankets, and a generous offering of breakfast and coffee. Cons: Its an old building in the 20th century and that comes with weird, or peeling paint in some places, odd fitting doors, and some oddities. But that's part of the charm for us. We have already recommended this place to friends

The King’s Throne is a far better option than a sterile Motel/Hotel option. Landon is a wonderful host and the house itself is great example of fin de ciècle architecture and how it was presented in middle class America at the time. You will never see quarter-sawn wainscoting and crown moulding like this in a conventional rental. The King’s Throne theme (probably) isn’t the look of the exterior but the chess board in the living room and chess pieces placed about the interior. All Kings? This is not a 5 Star hotel, but it is convenient, quaint, and affordable. Also, the parking, right in back, is lit very well and is right out the back door - not technically “on the property” but also not on the street. If you are a walker, it’s about a mile to the waterfront and in between there are good local restaurants. I recommend the Manhattan. Stay here, you’ll like it.
