This hotel was newly built when I stayed here, so everything was certainly top-notch. Tru Hotels usually are fantastic places to stay anyway. This hotel is built in an area that isn't super built up yet. There are definitely fast food places and a few smaller shopping locations in the area, but as of now it's not really an area I would spend a lot of time around. However, it would not stop me from staying at this great hotel if I was staying in Columbus again.

I always like staying at Tru’s property! This particular hotel breakfast options was not good at all. I had to get breakfast from other restaurants around. My room was clean. Satisfied with that! My toilet stopped flushing, I called front desk…..instantly the maintenance man came and fixed the problem! Overall, the area was great! Close to the highway! Close to restaurants!

I mentioned on my checkout that the air conditioner seemed to run all the time when on auto. Also a firmer pillow would be great! Shower was great. We didn't eat there, but I liked the variety of snacks. Thank you.

Very nice hotel. Brand new. It DOES NOT have a pool! The pool is closed and under construction for the foreseeable future. My room was nice and clean but the AC was broken. So it was nice sleeping in 82° heat.

The property is very new so that was nice. The breakfast was Ok I didn’t have any but there was oatmeal n eggs n cold cereal, so not bad there was some variety. I accidentally booked a handicap room on Expedia so I was not happy because the hotel was full so we couldn’t change it. Other than that it was very clean n quiet just right for a short visit in Columbus.

Pool was a requirement for our hotel selection and despite this hotel being advertised as having a pool, construction is not complete on it. Check-in clerk was only willing to cancel our reservation. I contacted Expedia for help with this since I was paying for something that was advertised but not getting. They contacted hotel and clerk lied and told Expedia that he offered me compensation and I rejected it. Supposed to be escalated but no resolution from hotel (with email to GM) or Expedia as of 4 days later. Besides that problem, AC/thermostat didn't work properly. At one point it was shooting out hot air instead of cool. Toilet and shower leak. Furnishings are very dorm-roomy. Desk is not big enough for a laptop and any writing materials if you have to work while away. Walls and floors are VERY thin. Heard slamming doors, furniture rolling around, shades in the next room being opened and closed, and toddlers screaming and running late into the night and early in the morning. "Queen" beds are not really queen beds; MAYBE doubles. Breakfast only goes until 9am and is very sparce. View out our window was of a McDonalds billboard (within 20 ft). Only positives were a good height to the shower head, lobby area has a pool table and a chest of games, and there is plenty of seating in the lobby/breakfast/work area. Although with breakfast only lasting until 9am, this likely isn't a big benefit.
