No hot water.
NO HOT WATER in the shower. Not even warm. Just a bit warmer than the cold water. Makes for a very unpleasant stay. Ridiculously absurd that they turn down the hot water to save money and make your trip miserable.

One of those cheap hotels with no hot water
Room 108 had a restricter on the hot water in The shower. The water was room temperature. Room 109 had no soap in dispenser in shower I understand the need to reduce costs to heat water, but losing my 2 rooms once a month because of your penny wise and pound foolishness is the result. All of your savings from no hot water lost on just one of many customers who won’t come back.

Needs help, people are nice.
Hotel could use a deep cleaning once you get past the lobby and into the elevator/ hallways. There is a pungent odor of mold and trash once you get to the hallways. Some finishing touches need to be revisited . Our door closed and opened but it was a little loose. Also, the handicap parking spots are taken up by local contractors who are staying at the hotel who dont have handicap decals. I travel woth a disabled person so this was very annoying. Room was a little moist. Otherwise, staff was friendly

The staff at this property are very courteous, and friendly. However, the property is under construction and the carpets in the rooms desperately need to be cleaned. I couldn’t walk around barefoot they were that dirty.

Not clean and felt unsafe.
Check in was good but the room had constant high humidity and the floors were sticky. The shower was set up that water covered the entire floor. The iron had so much build up on it and burned a shirt. Doubtful I will ever stay here again.

STAY AWAY!!!
We made a 4 night reservation based on online photos. When I arrived and saw the condition of this place I didn't feel safe checking in. This hotel is bad. They refused to refund my money. Over $500 wasted; but my safety was more important. On top of everything the staff was extremely rude.

Tabasco getaway
My sister and I wanted to get away for a couple of days and this was a great place for us. It was conveniently located as we planned to visit Avery Island. The hotel was clean and quiet. The room had lots of space and the beds were comfortable. Our only complaint was the microwave did not heat up, but that didn't affect our stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel as a place to stay.

Room was grubby with toothpick on the carpet. They gave us another room but it was still very old and worn out. The entire Hotel seemed very dirty and unsanitary. We booked the last minute so we couldn't get our money back however we still chose to leave and booked another hotel down the road. Do yourself a favor and pass this hotel up. It is definitely not the rating that shows in Expedia

I checked out after being there for 2 hours. I was not eligible for a refund and paid for two nights. That’s how bad it was. I left and accepted the loss of refund. Filthy, smelly, holes in walls, roaches in bathroom, sketchy people outside, screaming from next room, and extremely uncomfortable bed. Do not stay here. Save yourself.

Unhealthy and Disgusting
Upon checking in the clerk told us the elevator was broken and then put us on the 3rd floor. We were put in a room with 2 big canisters of damp-rid and the mold smell was so horrible we were getting sick. My husband went down stairs after 30 minutes of checking in a we were refused a refund so we could go to another hotel. They did put us in the room next door. The smell wasn’t as bad. The pool was full of debris and the pool chairs were in the pool. When asked about the pool the clerk didn’t seem bothered. Sunday morning, no hot water. The 1st floor had a linen bucket to catch the water dripping from an apparent leak. It takes very weak people to refuse a refund to customers who do not want to stay in a hotel full of mold and mildew. That is very unhealthy. Tried calling Kelli and of course there was no answer. We don’t have money to throw away to pay what we paid and then again at another hotel because this hotel can’t fix the problems. That was extremely expensive for the nasty sloppy conditions of this hotel. I expected better from a Candlewood. I did have a reservation for festival weekend but that has been cancelled and we will be staying elsewhere because there is no way we can do that to ourselves again. I will be taking every avenue possible to be refunded for our stay as the conditions are not up to code. It’s honestly disgusting that this hotel is operating in these conditions. We will never stay here again. It’s definitely not worth the price and your health.
