Weekend Away
We stayed in one of the cottages which was modern, clean, and well appointed. The cottage could accommodate 4 people, as there was a double bed in a separate bedroom. The bathroom was modern, and the room came with a spa bath. TV and minibar were included. The staff were friendly, but during our visit were working very hard and appeared short staffed. Breakfast was just ok, again not helped by the number of visitors the weekend we were there. Location is perfect if you want to relax and take easy.

Room with a view.
The Hotel is in a nice surroundings and hotel looks nice with good rooms. I'm sure in summer this hotel will be a top location, we were in winter time what was nice and relaxing. The Food in restaurant was very nice however the service in the restaurant was somehow not as friendly as expected. Breakfast was also very good. Parking lot could improve so as the excess road to the hotel.

Amazing place to relax and unwind after big city. Staff is very friendly and helpful, views are majestic and it has a lot of hiking paths around. I stopped there for only 1 night during trip through Europe, but I am actually considering visiting this place other time and spending couple a week or two there.

Lovely location
We booked this hotel online a few days before we arrived. We wanted to be near Luxembourg but not right in the city. The booking.com ad said it was 6.9miles (10kms) from Luxembourg. In fact it's about 58kms from the city center, so quite a drive. But in the end we were pleased with the location, at the bottom of a deep gorge with a winding river very near the hotels and a majestic old castle bearing down from above (beautiful by day, warmly lit up by night). Our whole experience there was wonderful and highly recommended if you don't mind being so far from the city.

My wife and I have been traveling western Europe for two months and we booked only 4 star hotels. The location is very remote with only one castle to visit. All other sites are 50 kms away. The air conditioning is in the hallways, not the rooms. If you open the windows for ventilation, you will get fly's tin your room. Dinner was good but there were fly's in the dining room. The staff was nice, but I would not stay there again.

Secluded, relaxing and comfortable stay.
The Cocoon Hotel Belair is a small and comfortable hotel in a secluded spot by a river. A car is necessary to visit as it is down a bumpy, steep and narrow road but well worth the journey. We spent five nights here at the end of July and were really pleased with our choice of hotel. Our room was on the first floor facing the river with a lovely view of the castle but we were rather disappointed that although we had requested a superior room we did not have a balcony. There was a mini bar and easy chairs in the spacious and clean room and a large bathroom with a Jacuzzi bath. The staff were polite and friendly although we often felt that they were difficult to find and service could be slow to attend. We ate in the restaurant on the first night and outside on the patio the last. I preferred the bar menu and it was pleasant being outside enjoying the view. Breakfast was as expected but there was a limited choice of fruit although a small fruit bowl was always available. If you request tea you are presented with a flask of hot water and need to find your tea bags quick! Would definitely recommend and love to return.

A lovely peaceful stop over
After a long motorbike journey the drive from the main road was a bit unexpected, steep with some tight bends but this led into a lovely secluded valley. The river Sauer runs through and there are great views up to Bourscheid Castle with a couple of reasonable walks through woodland leading to the Castle. We caught sight of a red squirrel scampering across the path and up a tree. There is a train line running on the opposite side of the river but this didn't disturb us much. Dog friendly which is great! Wish we'd had more time here, so will likely be back.

Quiet location - lovely hotel
Lovely spacious room, we had a superior with a jet bath, we've never been so clean. Food was reasonable, very tasty, although slightly overcooked. Service was slow, but good nonetheless. Quite remote location , but able to walk to train station, about 2 miles on reasonably flat paths. Plenty of walks in the area. By the river, so can be reasonably flat, although plenty of hills also if so inclined. Could hear owls at night.

A remote and stunning location
Stayed recently as a part of a Motorcycle tour around Europe. This is a really beautiful and very comfortable Hotel in a stunning Mountain location, we only stayed the one night but wished we had more time to enjoy our stay.
