Fine folk work and run this hotel which at one time appears to have been one classy joint. A beautiful sitting room which was typically empty and another dining space which was mostly vacant the mornings I was there. I had a nice deck and it was an easy walk to Old Amman and a number of top tourist sites. But i do wonder about the"New" in New Park since like others have alluded to in their reviews, this hotel is in need of some serious work; doors are sagging, material is worn, tv did not work, ac was weak and thank goodness it was not as noisy as I thought it would be. The immediate vicinity is run down but you walk a block and it is.alive with goodness, tea, bookstores, shopping, mosque's and.the central noise of Amman. So, for.the money it's okay - nice people close to good things but the facility itself is another story.
FYI. My bias as I travel is to locate clean and.convenient places to.stay where I have my own bed, bathroom and amenities. Nothing too fancy - simply easy, clean and fun.
