A really good location. Just around the corner, around a 5 minute walk, to the train and bus station which was very handy for day and airport trips. Everything is on 1 straight road from the hotel so about a 10/15 minute walk you are in the centre of Sorrento, but there are so many shops and restaurants on the walk. The hotel was lovely and clean. The room was a lot more spacious than I thought. Aircon and safe included which was needed with the heat outside! Staff on reception were lovely and the room was cleaned daily. Will definitely be returning.

The gardens in the back are surprisingly extensive and very lovely, with various fruit trees and flowers. The traffic noise from the street makes the front rooms not so quiet at nice, but it is better than loud people/restaurants. The front desk staff were helpful for reserving cars. Stayed at Hotel Tourist for a night, very last minute booking. My room had everything I needed, was quite clean, and the bed was surprisingly comfortable. The staff were helpful and nice. The hotel is walkable from all the main attractions in Sorrento and very close to the train station. Easy experience all around.

The only good thing about the property is the location. I asked for a room on the quieter side of the hotel but our room was facing the street and it was so loud on the weekend. Worst of all was the state of the bathroom. There was mold in the very tight shower which had a plastic head, toilet wasn’t cleaned properly and there was a smell every time you used the sink. The pool and the area seemed clean although we didn’t get a chance to use it. Won’t recommend. Not sure why Expedia has this hotel under a three star. We went to a three star hotel in Napoli and it was a five star compared to this. Max one star.

Rude staff member ruined experience
The hotel was nice enough, for the price I would say it was actually better than I expected however there was an EXTREMELY rude waiter at the breakfast each morning who would yell at us or talk down to us when trying to order and made our experience very uncomfortable. It’s unfortunate that one person can really tarnish your whole experience, but starting our day on that note really put a negative spin on our whole stay.

Lift but not to the outdoor/ pool rooms where we situated. Not easy to manage luggage or suitable if have mobility issues (hubby uses a stick) Basic but clean. Basic breakfast, not forthcoming with coffee. Kettle in room but no coffee/ tea and no fridge. (Would help for water in scorching heat) Staff friendly.

The stay was enjoyable. Lots of great restaurants in walking distance. A good walking distance to the Sorrento Port. The area the hotel is located in feels safe. The washrooms in the room our quite outdated making the toilet and the shower feel not the cleanest. Breakfast was good.

Room was great, basic and clean just what we needed for our stay Breakfast was great Restaurants nearby for evening meal We sat around the pool and had a drink one afternoon which was very pleasant. Unremarkable
The location was convenient, on the Main Street, which also makes it noisy. The air conditioning was pitiful but while it was cool outside during the night, we had to close the windows to sleep because of the noise. Breakfast was average. Bed tolerable. Bathroom clean but needs updating. All in all, not a place I would return to.

The hotel is well situated on Corso Italia and walkable to train station and Piazza Tasso. My room was comfortable and reasonably equipped, altho no fridge. There was a small balcony overlooking a number of apartment buildings. The TV was almost entirely local channels in Italian plus CNN & BBC. Staff were uniformly pleasant and always with a smile. Breakfast was heavy on sweets, but healthier options were available on the menu without charge. Overall, a good choice for a 3* property near the center of town.
