The Manhattan Hotel was more than adequate for the price, but not at all outstanding in any way. The service was good, the breakfast adequate and included, and the room of a good size. The television was a flat screen, but absolutely the smallest I have ever seen and quite a distance from the bed! The view from the rooms was really poor from the back of the hotel and the rooms quite dark. The lighting in the rooms was fair, somewhat dark, especially in the evenings. The rooms on the front side of the hotel were better, but they are located quite near and facing a noisy highwway. The bathroom was the real problem.
No light whatsoever over the sink and mirror, a faucet that sprayed water all over anyone using it if not expremely careful when turning it on, and only a "hand held" shower device that was unusable as a fixed point shower head. However - on a more positive note, the bathroom was large with a tub included.
I would recommend this hotel for a night or two, but if staying longer suggest one try to get a nice renovated apartment closer to the center of town and in walking distance of all the resturants, etc.
