What a delightful hotel! I could not have picked better. The owners and staff were all extremely welcoming, helpful and friendly. I was fortunate to go to the top terraces of the hotel with uninterrupted views of the towers of the Iglesia de San Felipe Neri, the domes and roof of the Iglesia de la Merced and the hills and mountains beyond. The room was spacious, charmingly furnished with characterful old furniture, lamps, small chandeliers and having large windows for light and air. The bathroom was also spacious with a forceful shower and lashings of hot water.
All the public areas of the hotel, the dining room and reception were similarly attractively furnished, the interior courtyard was very pretty with many sitting areas surrounded by flowers, on the second floor and roof top, great for sunsets.
Breakfast was very good with ripe pineapple, melon, papaya and mixed fruit, very good orange juice and coffee and a large choice of home made cakes and quiches. Fried and scrambled eggs were always available to order.
