Carmona is a great place for a quiet long weekend to get away from it all. For a couple winter-battered Brits it was just the ticket -- long lunches sitting outside in the town square, leisurely ambles through the scenic lanes, and watching the resident storks with their fledgelings. Like Carmona itself, it's brimming with history, and peaceful and doesn't stint on comfort. Our room was light-filled and spacious, with double doors opening onto a small balcony overlooking an interior courtyard, with views onto the lovely church tower and adjacent convent.
