We were there on a girls trip. The resort was always being cleaned and the staff was attentive and kind. The pools were refreshing, but the two closest to the beach could have used more cleaning. The food was good and we really enjoyed our stay.

Iffy Place with Poor Management
the management has serious problems. 1) For 2 evenings there was no hot water. Warm but not warm enough for a comfortable shower. 2) housekeeping left us only 1 towel and two face clothes even after I tipped the cleaner! We had to wait for towels before we could shower. 3) Restaurant service is incredibly slow. 4) Food varies from good to poor, with the majoring being poor. 5) Bed is very firm memory foam, not good for side sleepers like me. I woke several times each night in pain. 5) Listen to the negative reviews. They speak the truth. If you go here, you take your chances.

The hotel property is located in a safe neighborhood with lots of dining options and shopping. The hotel condition is very good. The only complaint is the buffet and reservations options . It left my wife and I feeling disappointed. I would definitely recommend it still.

GR Solaris Lighthouse is an exceptional all inclusive resort in Los Cabos. My wife and I took a Cabo Christmas at the end of 2024 and we stayed at this resort. The location was beautiful, the ocean view room was amazing and the pool, amenities and entertainment were excellent. The absolute best part of our stay was the wonderful staff. Francisco, Christian, Carla, Alex and the rest of the staff made sure we had everything we needed. We’d be happy staying at GR Solaris Lighthouse every Christmas. Thank you to our new friends in Los Cabos! See you next time and Happy New Year!

The worst part is them trying to schedule an appointment for a “vacation club” time share that would have cost &30 just to listen to them. They were pushing that hard on us. Worst resort ever. This resort ruined our Xmas trip . There pools were freezing cold and only 2 fine dine available but it you see there ad it says 6 restaurants. It was the quiet time of year, and the resort is under new ownership. So there weren’t many people there. But the resort was clean, the food was good, and the pools were open and available. The staff at the restaurants were AMAZING especially Jose at the Italian place he was AMAZING! At check in I felt pressured into trying to sign up for a tour I had just got to the hotel I had to pay extra for other things that didn’t make sense to me at all I was annoyed by that and on top of it the guy who was trying to pressure us to doing a tour didn’t take into consideration I was just trying to get to my room and be able to have lunch, the room was nice but they need to fix maintenance things they try to blame the people staying there for things that were ALREADY broken. My stay was definitely just a one time stay.

This was our fourth visit to the GR Solaris Lighthouse, but our first after they purchased it from the Barcelo Gran Faro. The pools, restaurants, bars and housekeeping staff are all amazing! We experienced some facility issues, but they were all handled gratefully by the resort manager Jose Luis and Fernanda. We thank them for their kindness! A special thank you to Jorge (pool bar services), food servers Carina, Odalis and Bruno. The restaurant supervisor David and the young lady who greeted us at the Solaris Buffet door were also fabulous. We were quite disappointed that Irene was relocated from the pool snack bar to being a cook at the Solaris Buffet, as we were not able to enjoy her pleasant personality and great service. PLEASE CONSIDER BRINGING HER BACK TO THE POOL SNACK AREA!

I wish I could give zero stars there were no wash cloths on the bathrooms. The room was horribly outdated compared with the online photos. The staff is rude and does not speak. They must be in partnership with the taxi companies charging over 5 times to get around to o tourist when the hotel calls them from across the street. They are all about selling their memberships. The food was awful and cold in addition. Every time I have booked with Expedia the experience is subpar. This is my last time.

Pro: Nice place, nice location. Food was good. Staff was friendly and helpful. The New Year's Eve party by the pool was awesome! Con: Worst check-in experience of my life. Two-plus hours in line in the lobby waiting for super slow check ins and they would not call for additional help. Despite my thinking everything was paid for on Expedia there was a surprise local tax at check in. Rooms are not carpeted, so you hear every footstep of the people above you. Cost me a couple nights sleep. A/C units in the room makes you think you are standing near a 737 on take-off. So noisy I had to stop using (glad it wasn't summer!) Never once had a hot shower - water is luke warm at best and at other times downright cold.
