We stayed at five "5 star" hotels and riads throughout our stay, Hotel Palais de Ramparts did not deserve this lofty rating. The room was spectacular only for its view. I believe we stayed in only one of three rooms in the hotel with an ocean view, Once you got over the view, the "senior suite," the second largest "suite," was a smaller than average room that barely fit the queen bed, single bed, two chairs, and table. The closet, desk, and refrigerator were rendered unusable because they were blocked closed by the furniture.
The bathroom had a 6 foot long and deep bath tub, but the water pressure and temperature were too low to fill it up. The water pressure and temperature also varied, so my daughter missed her daily hot shower.
The center court was dark and dank with the only light coming from the opening 5 stories up. 2 of the 4 trees surrounding the fountain were dead. The fountain was empty and not turned on.
The Hamman was the bright spot. It was better than the one at the fancy spa in Marrakesh.
