Hoa Lu is well-known for its attractions such as Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex and Hang Múa. This welcoming city has something for everyone including sights like Thung Nham Bird Garden and Tam Coc Bich Dong within a secluded setting.
We did the Trang An boat ride, visited Hang Mau, Bich Dong Pagoda, and the Bird Sanctuary. Recommend you visit all of these early morning as they get crazy busy as the day goes on. And skip the bird sanctuary. Very artificial feeling.

Be prepared for cold, wet weather. Were there in min-March and it was much cooler than Da Nang.

"Very nice property, great and friendly staff. In a perfect location to experience Tam Coc. Nice buffet breakfast and just a friendly and enjoyable experience for me. Thank you team !!!"
"The room we stayed in was very clean, spacious, and bright. There were many options for breakfast, and was delicious and on time. Lily (owner) took the stress out of activity planning because she organized a local driver for us very quickly upon our arrival. We paid for laundry service which was extremely convenient, affordable, and timely. And most of all, she was super knowledgeable and made excellent activity recommendations considering our interests and the time we had. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you, Lily. "
"Little Tam Coc Village is a peaceful and charming homestay surrounded by stunning rice fields and limestone mountains. The rooms are clean and cozy, and the atmosphere is quiet and relaxing. The hosts are incredibly kind and welcoming, making you feel right at home. It’s the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the beauty of Tam Coc—I highly recommend it!"
"I would highly recommend this place for any traveler. Great location. Easy walk into Tam Coc and bike ride to Mua Cave. Pool and view are great to relax and escape the heat. Rooms are wonderful."
"We (family of four (2 + 2 adult children)) stayed for 2 nights in June.
Location: hotel is located away from the main tourist area and so nowhere is walkable. The hotel does have bicycles free to use which we took to cycle through some rice fields to a local village (few km round trip and flat).
Rooms: large and clean. Bathrooms the same. Still with small towels - like the rest of Vietnam hotels it seems.
Pool was lovely - water warm, large towels provided and drinks available.
Restaurant - breakfast: small selection but tasty. Dinner: limited vegetarian selection but enough for a couple of days and all tasty.
Front of house team all very helpful and friendly.
They arranged a car with driver for us for the day and a half sightseeing - reasonably priced and saved having to wait for Grabs etc- and they also arranged a car to take us back to Hanoi airport at the end of our trip.
Would definitely stay there again."
"We had an amazing stay at this tranquil retreat. The facilities we perfect with a massage service which was 5 star, a large pool especially for the size of the retreat, excellent food and wonderful staff who also helped us arrange tours. Overall 150%"
