Perfect location for downtown Weimar
Premium location to Goethehaus and downtown Weimar. Good house and rooms. The rooms on the road (square) side are very noisy at night due young people partying there until the wee hours. The oropax provided in the room did not help me very much. I wonder why nobody is doing anything to at least get them to stop at a reasonable time.

We were there to visit Liszt Music School. The location of hotel is in the center of Weimar. Very convenient to walk everywhere. The room was big, high cell, good condition but a little old as all other buildings! Good spirit.

Nice, clean and centrally-located hotel
Right in the center of everything, Goethe's house, Liszt's house, the cemetery, etc. When I was there, in front of Goethe's house there was a wine festival, and it was really pleasant to have a few glasses of wine before walking back to the hotel. As some have commented here, depending on the whether, the room can get a little warm. I didn't see mentioned is the small reading room on the first floor. I always find such settings nice. I'm very happy with the hotel.

Very Comfortable, Attractive and Practical Hotel
My stay at Amalienhof Hotel Weimar was very comfortable. There was an English-speaking receptionist most of the time at the front desk. (That I learned to be quite unusual in smaller towns in Germany.) The bed was a bit too short for me, and I am only 175cm. The room was otherwise quite comfortable, but the room didn't have a fridge. Very close (mostly 5 minutes walk) to tourist sites such as Goethes Wohnhaus, Schillers Wohnhaus, Liszthaus, and the cemetery. Free secure wi-fi, and they even let me use it hours after I checked out from the hotel!

Amalienhof Hotel -- excellent value
The hotel has real old-world charm, the hallways full of beautiful furnishings reflecting the strong literary history of the city. The hotel staff, especially at reception, was exceptional -- seemed genuinely pleased to welcome guests and offer assistance. The room was spacious, nicely furnished, though the street noise left a bit to be desired. Steps from the most famous tourist sites in the town centre. The buffet breakfast was very good, and extra coffee was cheerfully granted. The free, ground-level parking behind the hotel with rear access was convenient. The wireless apparatus must be fetched from the front desk and involves a long cumbersome cord, and the clip on the connector which secures it to the computer was broken. It would be tremendously helpful to give directions to the parking area on the website, or tell car drivers where they can park while they check in. Quibbles aside, this is excellent value.

Die zentrale Lage und einige fußläufig erreichbaren Sehenswürdigkeiten haben uns sehr gefallen. Auch die Parkmöglichkeit ist natürlich im Zentrum unschlagbar. Das Apartment war sehr sauber, die Betten super bequem. Das gesamte Personal ist sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Bei Bedarf jederzeit uneingeschränkt wieder unser Ziel.
