The hotel has a great location and the staff is very friendly and helpful. However, the 4-star rating on booking sites and Google is very misleading. The hotel's condition as-is is below a basic 3-star hotel. All restaurants are closed and there is no on-site food or breakfast. There are no laundry facilities within this hotel. I am typically not picky about room conditions, but this time the room we stayed is barely serviceable and should not be assigned to guests. The carpet has large patches of stains -- not meeting basic cleanness or hygiene. The cover of one of the bedside lamp was broken and leaned on the wall. The light bulb flickered from the other bedside lamp. The room had power outage 2 out of 3 nights. The lights flashed like Halloween or a dancing club, to the point that you wonder if the hotel has a proper and safe electric system. We need to call front-end desk to wait for someone to reset the power. Hotel staff and management agreed with these issues, and refunded me $38 out of the ~$450 I paid for 3 nights. I appreciate their symbolic efforts, but it's still well overpriced for what it is. Had I know all these, I would simply choose other hotels.
