The hotel seems to be at the front of a campsite; it has separate receptions for each side inside. The hotel side is part of the bar area, with the workers doing double duty there - at checkin I waited until someone appeared from the bar, at checkout I waited five minutes until someone appeared from the kitchen after hearing me call out.
The room was clean but much more basic than I expected for the price. Very thin doors and little sound proofing - I heard peoples conversations easily as a walked to my room.
The toilet is in a windowless closet, with the shower and sink in the next closet. There is no real separation between sink and shower, but there was a mop if I wanted to dry the floor before using the mirror or sink, but if course the mirror is instantly fogged by the adjoining shower. There was no hair drier to be found.
In the room there was a building sure style extension cord for power outlets next to the bed. I appreciate the outlets, but i suspect this temporary outlet was permanent.
Beds and linens were clean. As was the room in general. International channels on the televisions and a balcony with two chairs outside. Location was fine, as was parking.
Overall, the Akersloot nearby was the same price and far better equipped and finished. This hotel was pleasant but not really acceptable for business travel or anyone expecting a hair drier or a 'normal' bathroom etc. This is not meant to be a negative review, just not a very positive one.
