Without exaggeration this the worst hotel stay I have ever had. We stayed two nights but almost left after the first. The property is physically falling apart, the lobby was very humid, despite covid numbers still being high around the world, Colombia recently and partially relaxing its entry requirements for foreigners, this hotel gave zero care for physical distancing, masks, or evidence of cleaning in common spaces starting at check in. The room has ants and roaches (we even killed two cockroaches and housekeeping made the beds but left the dead roaches!), there was clear evidence bugs had been smashed on the wall prior to our stay as well. The bathroom was so small it didn’t fit a 5’6 person facing forward on the toilet, the bathroom floor was 3 different heights in places that didn’t make sense, the door had mold, and there where holes in tiles. 1 bed was very hard, the other was sinking like an air mattress. Breakfast was coffee, bread, & runny eggs. The room was so small opening two suitcases took all the free space on the floor. Furniture was out of date and not luggage friendly.
Any hostel I’ve stayed in across Europe or Asia is far surperior. The tiny hotels in the mountains of Colombia were far nicer which was shocking considering the location. If you are used to US or European standards stay at the intercontinental a couple doors down. The only nice thing I can say is at least the AC in the room worked and the shower had warm water.
