A great location, quiet, clean and safe for walking. It's a simple place but exactly what I need. It would have been nice to have a coffee machine in the room, but the coffee downstairs in the cafe was excellent. This is a good location for access to downtown, Mont Royal and other neighbourhoods. I walked everywhere - Old Montreal, the port, Rue St. Denis. I only wish that there were no people smoking as you walk down the streets.

Nice older 3 storey walk up near Mount Royal. A bit hostel-like and very self-serve. Nice room with pretty windows onto the street. Nice little cafe on the main floor opens at 8:00 am. I would have liked access to a kettle and cups to make coffee or tea in our room earlier.

Ambrose Hotel was great for location to city centre. Walkable to all main attractions around. Close to Metro and shopping and restaurants. The cafe was convenient for morning coffee and bite to eat. The buildong is a nice and unique old buidling with lots of character. The room was sizable and the bathroom was clean and good size tub.the hotel was walking distance to almost everything. Hotel Ambrose is ideally located if your interested in visiting downtown Montreal. We were in town for the Canadians home opener. The Bell Center is in easy walking distance from the hotel as are many other attractions and restaurants. We found the staff to be helpful , check in was a breeze. The room was clean and bright and the bed was very comfortable. There are only 2 negatives: parking could be a bit of a challenge and there are no elevators and the hotel has many stairs. We would certainly recommend this hotel.
