Character room with great breakfasts
The room was extremely spacious and had some character to it spoiled a little with painted beams but thats ultra critical. The water ran out so we couldnt have a hot shower one evening, even tho there didnt seem to be lots of guests. But we thought overall it was good value, the staff in the restaurant and bar were very good and the breakfasts and evening meal we had were excellent.

We were given the Muscat room 18 in the annex upstairs. Luckily for us the weather was dry ish as the steps would have been quite slippy as the antislip treads had worn away. That needs attention soon. The light at the top of the stairs was out so at night it was dark. That needs attention. The room itself was a bit tired but ok. The bed mattress could do with replacing as it was soft and squeaky. Good points All the staff we encountered were excellent The food we had, dinner first night breakfast next 2 nights was excellent. Overall fair value for what we paid. Not sure if there were rooms renovated.
