Avoid at all costs
We arrived and had booked 2 rooms. In one room there was no air conditioning. We raised this with the staff, they told us there was nothing that could be done about this and the hotel was full so they couldn’t move us. When we told them we weren’t willing to pay for the room they miraculously found an empty room.
The rooms had a funny smell, were unclean and the bathroom was very old. The door to the room and the balcony had huge gaps around the frame that we had to try and block up with towels to prevent mosquitoes getting in.
The engineer was sent to our room the next day to fix the A/C - it wasn’t fixed. Again we had to stay in another room - leaving our children on a different floor in their room!
On day 3 we decided this was not the hotel for us and booked another hotel.
We checked out early and explained the reasons, the staff didn’t seem to see this as an issue. The manager eventually came to reception and it took over half an hour for us to check out- she told us we should have come down earlier if we were leaving!
After constant debate of the issues we had raised, the manager agreed to only charge us for the 3 days we had been at the hotel and for the full 7 days in the other room- although we were leaving early as the hotel was filthy.
