Conveniently right off I10 & next to a restaurant, a convenience gas station, & an Ace Hardware. If traveling with a dog(s) there’s a ton of parking lots to walk them on (there is a little plot of grass in the front though). BUT there is a fully enclosed park across from the elementary school a short drive away & a brewery, Hound Song Brewing, with great beers and a covered patio for those with pets.
Breakfast was surprisingly decent; hot items included eggs, bacon & sausage and it was not even the weekend.
Front staff was accommodating & understanding of our circumstances, Hurricane Beryl refugees, and got me in a room 2 hours before check in time. I had no idea they were sold out the night before but I should have realized that was the case considering this hotel was an hour away from home via highway and was the closest I could find with a room 2 days after a natural disaster affecting 10 million people.
Room 315 was clean & the A/C was cold. Bed was very comfy. WiFi was good in the room. Was able to work remote with no lagging after jumping through a couple hoops to get on the WiFi.
Cons: the elevator is slooooooow. No first floor rooms. Parking sideways on an incline in covered spots.
