Sorry but we were disappointed!
Sorry to write negative things especially after the reception ladies were so good. The hotel was misleadingly advertised. We booked to be stay in this hotel with a Park View and with a balcony to sit and view the park. This is not true. There is a balcony but it was less than half a meter in depth so you could not stand or sit on it. You would not have wanted to either as it was right on a narrow, busy road with a view of a tall untidy hedge and no park. The park is at least 200 meters away up the hill and cannot be seen from the hotel. The air con was not working properly and you could not open the window as it was too noisy from the traffic. The dining room was tiny, no windows to enjoy what could be a view across to the magnificent cathedral. Very disappointing to finsh our Camino del Norte pilgrimage in what we thought was going to be a lovely hotel. The reception team did their best to make our stay better.

Room was very comfortable and spacious with old but nice furniture. Good breakfast at 7 euros. Location was excellent. The only negative was there was no kettle in the room. I could not make tea in the evening. Overall I would choose this hotel again.

Great hotel 5-10 minutes from the cathedral.
The staff at the hotel are quite friendly and helpful. Their English and my Spanishs were limited but we understood each other very well. The room was clean, spacious and had a very peaceful view of the cathedral. Bathroom had a tub and was clean. Breakfast was typical and plentiful. They even had fresh fruit - honey dew melon and watermelon.

Quaint, charming and satisfying
I had an amazing 3 night stay in Old Town Santiago de Compostela. I ventured out of the town as well, but felt very comfortable in the old part of town given that I am a single woman traveling on my own. I felt very safe in the this part of town and the hotel had the perfect accommodations for my short visit. The hotel is quaint and charming. The breakfast is very hearty and satisfying given the small fee. I was highly satisfied.

A great end to our Camino!
The hotel was clean, quite and a short walk to the plaza before the Santiago Cathedral, the center of town and culture. No restaurants too close so no loud sounds at night/early morning.

Nice place to stay
Great hotel but a little bit old. We had a comfy and specious room. The staffs were very nice and friendly too. It is a little bit far from parking spot.

Comfortable stay with a sting in the tail
I was pleased with my stay in this small well-located hotel. Room was comfortable and breakfast was good. The wifi was ok. However, I forgot my Raybans and the hotel has refused to post them to me. They are insisting on using a courier service which I will be responsible to pay for. I would be happy to recommend this hotel if you are certain that you won't forget anything! Otherwise....

Comfortable hotel in great location
There was a mixup about our reservation that took a little time to clear up. We had requested an upgrade but did not initially get it, but we're charged the higher price anyway. The hotel blamed Expedia and showed me the booking from Expedia. I showed them the confirmation from Expedia and they gave us the upgrade, after saying there were no upgraded rooms available. It worked out and we got a very nice room with a terrace and a great view. Otherwise, our experience at the hotel was wonderful - great location, clean, beautifully decorated, nice breakfast, a good value compared to other hotels that were available.

Pilgrims looking for luxury
We were older El Camino de Santiago pilgrims wanting to celebrate in dome luxury after our 35 day trek. This place was paradise. It had views of the cathedral from our windows, which we enjoyed day and night . The room was large, had a kitchenette even! The staff was very helpful. Buffet breakfast was grand. Paradise, I tell ya!

Great end to the Camino
This hotel exceeded my expectations. Friends who stayed at a much pricier hotel in Santiago were amazed at what I got for the price. They even provide umbrellas when it rains. Clean, spacious room. Breakfast was an additional cost but well worth the price.

Great respite after pilgrimage
We stayed here at the end of a 12 day pilgrimage from Leon. We had a beautiful view of the cathedral from our bedroom window. It was clean, quiet and the breakfast was superb.

Ticks all the boxes
The hotel's location is a good balance of giving ease of access to all of the historic buildings while being close to the more modern parts of the city. The room was a good size with a/c and en-suite. Our room had 2 balconies giving a view of the park opposite. It was difficult to find fault without nitpicking - tv had no channels in English, but we were in Spain after all - breakfast seemed expensive but was exceptionally good value. Staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. We would not hesitate to use this hotel is we returned to the city or recommend it to any of our friends thinking of visiting the Cathedral.
