Great Hotel outside of Heraklion
This was a terrific hotel about 25 kilometers out of Heraklion. It was fine for us because we had a car and the driving easy. The hotel was walking distance down the hill Agia Pelagia which is a cute little beach town. We ate at the hotel restaurant one night and were pleasantly surprised at the overall quality of the dishes we had- way better than a hotel restaurant usually is. The staff was great and the breakfast buffet was very good. If you are planning a trip to Knossos and the Archeological Museum this is a good option. It was nice to get back to the quiet of an out of town hotel. The only downside is they are trying to hard to be kitschy which is totally unnecessary for such a quality property. We loved it all in all

Top tier hotel with stunning views
This is by far the nicest hotel and location we have ever stayed. Seriously. We arrived to our beautiful room and found a hand written note from management with chilled champagne and sweets. We were stunned by the sunsets over the water of the ocean and the amazing pools! The food was very good in the restaurant and the breakfast buffet was excellent. This is a destination location!

The hotel has the most amazing staff, the food is great and the location is just a great peaceful hideout from the city... Highly recommended. We took the cave suite with private pool in june, it was quiet and nice and nearly no one gets near the suite expect for the cleaning lady! Great for our honey moon

Spectacular view, not too far from the airport. Wonderful room, clean and spacious, we got a room with private pool and sea view. Nice beaches close by. Strongly recommend getting a rental car to move around. Stay on the main roads!!! Food at the hotel could be better (breakfastis is ok), you are better off finding restaurants to eat out for dinner.

Very nice property, but only a few maintenance related items. The first night my tv did not work. A cable was changed but this should be check as part of room readiness. Also, my phone did not work and the AC condensate drips continually when it is on so the living room floor pools with water. I reported all 2@4 items for correction.

This is an absolute must-stay property. It is gorgeous, the rooms are impeccably clean and modern with so many small touches. The staff is beyond compare and made us feel like family. The food is amazing and the free breakfast was plentiful and delicious. We loved every aspect of our stay and will stay here again if the opportunity allows. Splurge for the suites with the private pool if you can. You will not regret it, I promise.

The staff here (Demetrios especially) get an A for warmth and hospitality. The hotel itself is beautiful, with an amazing view of the hillside below and sea, off in the distance. We loved the private hot tub and delicious food, and sweet personal note greetings/farewell as well as a daily sweet treat in our room. The only thing that could have made it better was if there was a courtesy shuttle that brings you down to the beach/town--even if there was a small charge. Since the customers are generally from out of town, we would need an umbrella/chairs/blanket etc. I think most people would be willing to rent them for the day so that could help offset the shuttle. It's too far to walk and carry so much and climb back up the big hill at the end of the day and going into town with a private taxi gets pricey. Just an idea. Anyhow, we loved our stay there!
