We have stayed here several times in the past. As always, the staff were very friendly and professional. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.
Now for the bad news. We were told that the management changed since we were last there. They used to have 'customer appreciation night' on Wednesdays where they would serve pizza to their guests. I, for one, appreciated the appreciation shown by this simple and inexpensive act. However under the new management, this is no longer done.
We always had a good breakfast here, but that has changed as well. There were very few items that a diabetic individual could eat. There were no eggs, except pre-packaged hard boiled ones. The only breakfast meat was sausage in a thick clumpy sausage gravy served with biscuits. There was no fruit of any kind. Just a bunch of sugar and carb laden pastries among the self-made waffles.
While the staff and room were superb, these two seemingly easy things to manage are enough to make me stay elsewhere in my future travels.
