We booked a junior suite for 3 nights. When we arrived we found out that the room has separate beds(we asked for one double), broken windows that would not open and with no air-conditioning (in the middle of summer) it means suffocating in old-furniture smell and heat. Room was supposed to include minibar and it was not there. We asked kindly if they could move us. Owner tried to convince us to stay in the room, telling us how noble the furniture is, telling us creepy stories about “deflorations happening on a polar bear pelt in that room” (the pelt was still there). We tried to ignore it, although already feeling awkward, we just wanted a comfortable bed for the two of us and planned a lot of hikes in the rocks, so did not plan to stay in a room during the day. They gave us a basic room with dim lighting that was obviously a former kitchen since there were some tiles on the wall and again, with no minibar. No tea making facilities, hard mattress. Still, better than a room with no air. When we were checking out, we said that we assume we will not be charged for a suite since we stayed in a basic room, to which the owner said that it is not possible to give us any discount and then, focusing on the minibar issue we mentioned in the beginning of our stay, started offending us, saying that “if we are that sort of people we should choose some other hotel in the future in which we will be able to VEGETATE, getting drunk from a minibar”. I was never treated like this in any hotel.
