Don't expect the Ritz. This is not a hotel with fancy decor, or lots of facilities. However, it is clean, it is spacious, it has a lovely outlook. Los gigantes is my favourite place in Tenerife and I've been many times. It's a tiny, quiet resort, nice and safe for children, the harbour with the boats is nice to look out onto and those cliffs! The are majestic and stunning. Yes this place is a little tired, the tile patterns cause me to go back to the 70s, but it's such a nice place to stay. The location sandwiched between the beach and the harbour is great, it's got bags of space, nice balconies, it's clean. And right opposite is the pool. Again, the pool has seen better days, but the staff are lovely, it's a beautiful location, stunning scenery and you can lay on a sunbed and enjoy that view. So what is some of the paving is cracked and missing, it doesn't detract from the beauty of the place, and it's a lovely and quiet. Quite unlike the rowdy resorts of las americas and los cristianos,
Note, no hairdryers - bring your own if you need one. and although the sunbeds are included, it you want an umbrella by the pool its 2.50 per day.
I will be returning here again next year as I love it and I'm not bothered by a bit of faded decor or a cracked tile here or there. The beauty and quiet are well worth it. Not to mention a very reasonable price!
