Such a beautiful hotel! The building, the grounds, and the rooms are all breathtaking. Nice range of activities from enjoying the library, to a walk on the grounds, to rowing around the loch or fishing it. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The views are outstanding. For a building from mid nineteenth century, it's in good shape. Small but adequate rooms. Rural and quiet but with good WiFi. Excellent ample food and service. Smoked salmon with scrambled eggs for breakfast is superb. We booked 7 months in advance.

We absolutely loved our stay here. The staff was beyond welcoming and made us feel like it was our home away from home. The property was absolutely magical and the location couldn’t have been better being as though it was very close to so many prime sites. Check in was friendly. Hotel seems a bit dated and could use some tlc but it is a beautiful 160 year old hotel. The food and service were both impeccable. Nice walking trails down to the loch and along the shore though beautiful flower bushes to the ruins of a castle. Very pleasant evening
