The location was excellent in that it was close to Kew Gardens and the Kew Gardens Station was a 5 minute walk, however what the online information didnt mention was that the railway liine was literslly 12 feet from the rear of the accomadation,so from about 6 am the passing trains noise was every 5 minutes.Yet that was surpassed by the noise coming from the above accommodation, as the walls and floors were so thin, that there appeared to be a herd of elephants up there.
The room was booked for 4,but only 3 of us stayed luckily,as if we used the fourth fold out bed, there would have been about 2 foot of floorspace left.
The room itself was a bit grubby and dusty with a smell of drains, and cat urine from the adjacent yard. There were no windows only a front and back door,so it was hot at night when we obviously had to shut the doors. There were several maintenence issues :shower mounting and door broken, bathroom tiles cracked, kitchen sink tap loose, and although the shower was ok,the hot water to the bathroom and kitchen sinks was lukewarm. It was most definately overpriced, and we wouldnt stay here again.
