Having read the other reviews on this hotel and confidently booked for our arrival in Delhi, I think it fair to point out that our impression seemed to differ from others somewhat. It is a long drive from the airport, not easy to find, and our driver finally discovered it was inside a private enclave (more of a building site) with a metal gate preventing access, we had to wake up the guard to get the gate opened. From there it is a short drive to the hotel, which has a metal gate locked across it. Once on the other side of the gate, the reception area is a desk at a back wall with no side walls.
I could not fault the staff, they were really helpful, but it was not the hotel we believed we were coming to. You would have had to order a taxi and leave the enclave if you wanted to find somewhere to eat. The room itself was fine, although the first room had no air con control, and the second one (we stayed before and after going to the Taj) no TV control! The window blind could not be raised in either room. The rooms themselves were clean enough, but while waiting for a cab in reception, there was a mouse roaming around behind the desk. Probably not much they could do about this, as there were no walls!
Breakfast was basic, no fresh fruit apart from a banana each, orange squash instead of juice, and an offer to cook eggs.
If you are a backpacker, this hotel would probably be fine for you, but it is not the three star hotel we thought we were booking.
