Our stay here was a disaster. The initial room we were assigned was for a double bed, a single bed and a crib.. we were 2 adults and 2 teenagers! Could be the fault of hotels. com as this occurred at another hotel during our vacation. We had to spend £30 to 'upgrade'. The next room was awful (502). No air conditioning - yes it gets warm in London in summer. No soap or shampoo in the room, 1 towel for 4 of us. Toilet wasn't even cleaned from previous guest. Awful.
The next day during breakfast, there was a fire in the room next to ours :( (check google if you do not believe me). Spent 4 hours in the car park waiting for the fire to been under control. Though not directly the fault (cause of fire not known) of the hotel, the management were totally useless during the evacuation and management of guests in the car park. They couldn't use a loudspeaker, the leadership was non-existent and the information provided was insufficient. Wanted to change hotel, but they wouldn't except this and put us in another room (116) which was dirty, hot and extremely noisy - train and self storage facility next to the window. So happy to leave this hotel. Will spend more and stay at the Holiday Inn (better quality) or Courtyard (better quality and closer to the airport).
