Good Dutch Hotel
A good hotel right in the centre of town, All the staff were friendly and helpful all spoke good English. The evening meal was excellent I had the chefs choice and I could not fault it. Breakfast was good, I cannot fault anything, the room was large a bit of updating would not go amiss but it is an old building the bed was comfortable and it had good WiFi.

Charming spot
Room was very nice. Hotel is located in a city center that cars have limited entry, it is a short walk. Lots of restaurants in the area. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was orange juice, coffee, meat, cheese, rolls. Staff spoke English. There is an awesome Catholic Church overlooking the city center. Church is at 9, enter on the side. Tours at 2, we did not make tour.

mixed blessings
central location, parking would have been easier to find if you were just told to drive to the huge church (car park next to it). room basic, so warm they put a fan in the room (in may?), yes the beds are comfortable but be aware they are very close to the ground, if you are good at aerobics you may be able to get up out of it. Hotel supplies ear plugs not sure if it for the huge dong of the church clock or the late night noisy revellers passing your room until 4.30 am.

The windows did not open. When I went to take a shower, the shampoo/soap dispenser was empty. The room was big and the bed was comfortable. There was noise, because the hotel was in the center of the city.

If you are staying in Venray, you must go to the Swaan hotel! The staff are very friendly and helpful, the hotel is located right in the centre of town and the restaurant serve the best food I've had in years.
