We stayed 2 nights as part of our 2 week holiday in Malawi. It was a good base from which to explore the northern part of the capital - so different from the old town area where we were based for the first part of our holiday. The good things were: lovely gardens, helpful staff, feeling of safety and security, good cooked breakfast, walkable to the parliament, the Banda mausoleum and the splendid Four Seasons cafe/restaurant. We had a room on the main lodge which was spacious. The worst things were: tatty decor in our bedroom (brolen tiles, broken lampshade, stained ceiling tiles, dirty electric sockets).
We had a look in the newer garden block and these were much better, cleaner, fresher and with a terrace front and back. If I were booking again, I'd definitely want a garden room. The price is very reasonable. One more thing: The hotels.com site says there is an outdoor pool. There is no pool .
