My daugher and I spent one night here and it was great, the hosts are very friendly and the very small village is silent and beautiful. You can, however use it as a base for exploring the eastern Algarve, not far drive to nice beaches that are much less touristy than central Algarve. The breakfast was wonderful and delicious and served to us by a very friendly Portugese woman, the best bread and eggs and goat cheese!
The only suggestion is to put up a sign to find the hotel because we got very lost and could not find it until we knocked on someone's house to ask. Or, if your phone works in Portugal just call.
