Hosts were very nice people and helpful.
This place is super close to subway, and ~1km away from a hawker centre for food hunting. The mall across the street sells SIM cards and opens as early as ~8:15AM (be prepared to barter though).
The hostel itself is fairly simple fare, do not compare it against Japan or Taiwan. You got typical bunk beds (note no privacy curtain), small lockers for valuables, you must remember to bring your own slippers (no outdoor shoes allowed), and imo toilets were a bit underpowered. I did like shower's fairly hot water with high pressure and good air con. Bed side outlet just might work with North America/Japan two-prongs, but bring your international adaptor just in case.
