I stayed at a Pikes Peak Inn towards the end of September for three nights. I was in town to do the Manitou incline, this place was perfect location! It was less than a five minute walk to the shuttle that takes you to the incline, and one of the stops drops you off almost right in front of the hotel. The hotel is next to the fire/police department, I felt very safe.
As far as the hotel and it’s staff, I could not have been happier. They do not staff the office all the time, but there is a phone number right on the door and you call that number when you get there and they tell you how to access your room. When I got there, the room was not quite ready, the manager showed up shortly after I was there and said she had to run and get some soap because she was out. She handed me a full size bar of ivory soap, for some reason we both laughed about this that day, and every time we saw each other for my three days later.
It was easy walking to all the shops and restaurants/bars in to.
I would highly recommend this hotel!
Me and my son and some friends are already planning a trip back out to this area at the end of June. We are definitely staying here again, we will be getting three rooms at this hotel at that time.
Looking forward to staying here again!!
