I stayed for two weeks, for a visit in my country and city of origin (I am Belgian).
The place is located near a major train, bus, subway and tram station. The 10 minute walk to the station takes you through a pleasant area: the renovated Gaucheret 'hood and "Manhattan", i.e. the district business with some nice buildings (if you like modern architecture, as I do). You can easily walk to the center of Brussels in 20 minutes.
The furniture is cheap, but so is the price. However be warned, the bed consists in a thin mattress on a solid wooden foundation. They could improve at least that.
When I arrived there were cobwebs in the corner of the windows. I told the manager and he quickly had the problem solved.
Staff was nice and multi-lingual - the manager speaks excellent French, Dutch and English, and IIRC is German.
