We were there for my father’s funeral. The night before, we were unable to open the door. We were left sitting in the lobby for 3.5 hours until 1am while they attempted to get it open. We HAD to have our funeral clothes so we suggested they call the fire department but that wasn’t an option because it would be too expensive AND they had no other rooms to put us in. So when they finally got it open, we slept with broken door but could lock from inside. They promised to fix next day while we were at the funeral. We arrived at 2:40pm to find the door propped open with no one around and all our stuff in plain view. Unacceptable! Another room became available, but they didn’t tell us…they just handed my mom the keys and sent her up to us. Ok, she was my mom, but how did they know? No security whatsoever here. We moved ourselves. We never had maid service during our 4 day stay, there was no shampoo in the 2nd room, and we weren’t able to get coffee replenished. Only one elevator working also. When I asked for compensation, they said there was nothing they could do because I booked through hotels.com.
