Poorly managed property to maximize their profit. It ruined part of our vacation. Here's why:
1. We found lizard droppings on worn-looking comforter and pillow. Unsure how long the room was unused, and no one refreshed it before given to us.
2. Towels felt like old rag, yellow. No hand towels. When asked for hand towels, I was told that they don't give hand towels but gave 2 to me. And changed the yellowish towels to less yellow towels, still old and used.
3. Shower had no hot water. With hot and cold nob fully opened the water flow was low. The water situation is to keep the water and electricity cost low (as mentioned by a hotel staff). They have a solar-powered water heater. While I appreciate using renewable energy, coming to a hotel with a trickling cold shower is not ideal. Allegedly, while we were out, they tried a couple of times to fix the shower, but it wasn't fixed. I asked for a key to another room with a working shower, so our family of four marched three flights of stairs for our two day stay to take showers.
4. Dated and neglected property. Inside our room, the countertop's edges were falling, bathroom sink had permanent stains resembling puke marks, shower nob was had concrete residue all around it. Soap smelled washing detergent.
5. Tight, small parking lot at the front allows tourist buses to unload; cars cannot come out until then. It has overflow parking spaces nearby.
Breakfast was decent.
Overall a very poor experience for $288 a night stay.
