I like to think a Hotel is primarily used as a place to hang up some clothes, have a shower and enjoy a good restful sleep.
The Oasis fulfills the first two criteria but ---THE NOISE--- my goodness.
Paper thin walls had me listening to next room lovemaking on one side and TV until 1am other side-- plus on my last night a full blown street type party until 2am.
Add to this the terrible design of the Hotel with a central stairwell which echoes the noise throughout the place like shouting in a Cavern.
The housemaids calling out to each other from floor to floor added to the racket. Also the echo noise continued with doors slamming and the double locks on the doors could be heard throughout the day and night.
Look, the staff were great-- breakfast was fine--the room was clean, well furnished with good quality fittings but no fridge,no air-con or ceiling fans,no fly screens and (for 3 days)no wi-fi made my stay more stressful than restful.
A day tour organised by the Hotel was good value with a great friendly driver, Yitbarek who spoke good English.
I wish that I could recommend this Hotel but the noise factor was horrendous and lack of sleep left me washed out for the next leg of my trip
