The room smelled like lysol, cigarettes, and standing water. The climate control unit was pumping condensation under the linoleum flooring, so we were greeted by a puddle of water getting out of bed the next morning. I can't imagine leaking, standing water is very safe right below the outlet of an electric unit!
There was hair on the bathroom floor and in the shower, no screens on the faucet so water sprayed everywhere, and fingerprints (at least I hope that's what they were) on the headboard. The sheets felt damp and smelled like straight cleaning solution. If there had been any other availabilities in the area for our dates, I would've left! Unfortunately, childbirth doesn't wait for terrible hotels, so the choice was miss a birth or deal with lodgings. We opted to prioritize the first one.
The only redeeming factor was the staff. If they kept the regular staff and just hired better cleaners and maintenance, this could be a decent budget hotel. Unless that happens, if you value good sleep, DO NOT BOOK HERE.
