Since it was low season, we didn't see many other travellers, and the staff were hard to find upon check-in. Good thing my husband knows Spanish, because the staff that day seemed to only speak Spanish. After we checked in, one lady who was supposed to take us to our room seemes impatient and hollered "vamos!!" as she rushed up the stairs while we were still in the reception. However, room was big enough, clean, and tidy; there was also A/C. The doors to the room, however, were sliding glass and the curtains did not cover them fully so we had to be careful about that. In the morning, we had a nice breakfast with warm rolls, marmalade, eggs, fruit, rice, juice, and coffee. Lastly, Cahuita is so tiny. The hotel is in a great spot for exploring, but I think most hotels will be. I would overall recommend this as a comfortable and convenient place to stay.
