I stayed here for three nights and it’s taken me another three to catch up on sleep! AWFUL mattresses, old and cheap. The first night I was awake every hour trying to sleep in a sagging mattress that had my back aching in two hours (I’m 40, fit and usually sleep like a cat). The room was a single in their ‘blue house’ which looked nothing like the pictures of the single on the website. It was so narrow I could barely get my case down the side of the bed- which was subsequently scuffed from everyone else doing the same. It felt like a cheap hostel and I certainly wasn’t spending another night in it! They changed my room with no fuss, and apologised that the rooms in the ‘blue house’ are ‘less recently renovated’. Hmm. The second room was better, though the mattress was still soft and lumpy.
I got the feeling this hotel spent their budget on the concrete walls and had run out when it got to the important stuff like mattresses and towels (which were small and thin, just not good quality). I got a ‘special deal’ pre-paid on this site, 250 euros for three nights- the rooms wouldn’t justify the price even with a sleepable mattress but honestly, I’d not sleep there again for any price. It’s a shame!
It was otherwise clean and the staff are friendly enough.
