I've stayed at this motel about a dozen times, and when things are good they are very good. Terrific room. Brilliant sheets. Smooth check-in and courteous check-out. They even asked my room preferences as I was checking in, which I appreciated. Happy to support such a solid, small business.

Bed was springy, old & uncomfortable. The TV did not work, the room was dirty & gross. Shower was dirty & no water pressure, and did not drain correctly. I have a SERVICE ANIMAL, they charged me a PET FEE! Even after I offered my service animal papers.

Fair price for fair hotel
Even though this is an older motel that currently needs some TLC we found it convenient and comfortable. The room was small, the smoke detector was in the nightstand drawer, breakfast was minimal, but the room was clean and the bed comfortable. The cost was what would be expected from a motel in this condition with the minimal amenities it provided.

Bed and bathroom were clean and neat. Unfortunately, while our room was non-smoking, it had a stale cigarette smoke smell. The bathroom had the worst smoke smell when the fan was turned on. I accidentally left two items in our room. I had flipped the bed covers over the items and did not realize I missed them when packing. I called the motel as soon as I realized. The gal assured me she would check with housekeeping and get back to me. She did not. I messaged the motel and got not response. We will not stay here again. Forgetting my items is on me. Stealing my items is on them. I have family in the area. They would have gladly gone and picked up my stuff.

Only if you need a place
It was blah. Couldn’t get the room I reserved due to animal infestation. Never informed me until I arrived and put me in a room with a cot instead of two queens. The outlets were extremely loose and the faucets (sink and shower) leaked with low water pressure. The drawers, bed and shower had hair in it but the toilet was clean. The bathroom door looked like someone tried to bash it in and smoke alarm hanging from ceiling. Then after our first night in one of the desk employees came in to see if room was vacant even though they moved me in there for three nights.

We were disappointed to find that the lodging appears to be used for homeless residence, with much clutter and garbage at the doors and people smoking on chairs outside of the doors. The sheets were dingy and had holes in them; the walls were poorly patched and the front door safety bolt was broken off. We cancelled our 2nd night, but still have not received a refund. Very dissapointing.

The first thing you notice when you enter the lobby is the pictures in the ad is a lie. The lobby was filthy and dirty. The building is old and looks run down. In the back of the hotel where we needed to park were homeless people doing drug deals. The train runs several times a night right next to the hotel and blows their whistle as it passes. They offered breakfast, but the lobby was so dirty I wasn't about to eat there. The only positive was the bed was just ok and the shower was good.

Yuck!!
We arrived as some junkies were making their way to the train tracks directly behind the building. When we opened the door a strong odour of mildew and industrial cleaning supplies wafted out. Walmart is close thankfully because we needed to go buy slippers as the floors were sticky. The mattress’ are from the 70’s and flat as a pancake. An overall terrible experience. You get less than you pay for. Will not return.

The staff is the only reason I’m rating this location a three star. The room was not vacuumed, the bathroom floor was extra sticky, the ac didn’t want to stay on consistently. Breakfast was complete carbs, coffee was so weak, I think they just set the same grounds multiple times. But, the staff was nice, that said, it does not mean they know what they are doing.

BOOKED A NEW HOTEL IMMEDIATELY
Our first impressions of the room were... Not Good. We check in right after hearing someone else loudly and angrily cancelling their reservation over the phone. Walking to the room there was a bike frame tied up with missing tires. There was a single working lightbulb in the entire room, a small tv unplugged from the wall and a small refrigerator and microwave. Ive stayed in my fair share of bad hotels, so this isnt a dealbreaker, whatever right? The room was unsanitary, stains on the bed, linens and floors, there was a literal bloodstain on the walls and bathroom hand towel. The dealbreaker was the "patched" gigantic hole in the window, which just had another piece of glass duct taped to the glass. The only redeeming feature to this "stay" (we immediately found a new hotel) was that the staff was polite and kind, and were able to give me a refund, and not charge me for the full first night as is their typical cancellation policy. The pictures on the booking websites are very misleading, and do not show the full picture of the rooms.

We went into our room, which looked dirty on the floor, and the bed looked horrible as well! When we walked into the room further, we were overcome by the extremely strong smell of a cleaning product, possibly Pinesol, which made us about sick to our stomachs, and dizzy!! I immediately went to the office to cancel our six night stay!! Overall - Terrible!!!

First room we were given had not been cleaned and still had stuff on the floor and used bedding. They switched rooms for us with little hassle, which was better... until we found the dog poop under the bed and there was a strong mixture of pungent odors. The train also runs frequently and requires horn blowing as it is near a train crossing. Staff was good that we interacted with, but probably only worth 25% of what we paid.
